Due to rapid growth in its wills and probate department, Nottingham legal firm Robert Barber has nominated Senior Solicitor Hilary Tarran to handle the increased client portfolio.

Hilary, from the Rushcliffe area of Nottingham, will manage the increased level of work together with her existing clients. She has worked at Robert Barber's West Bridgford office for nearly two years and has more than 20 years experience in wills and probate cases.

Qualified solicitor, Hilary will spend her time preparing wills, managing the administration of estates and its associated work. She has gained valuable experience and training throughout her career on the complexities involved in will writing and previously ran the trust and probate department at Rorke, White and Holbrook Solicitors in Nottingham.

It is this experience and understanding that Hilary will draw upon in her role at Robert Barber. She commented: "I have a range of experience with a wide cross section of clients. My expertise and in-depth knowledge along with a sympathetic understanding of the concerns and needs of my clients is invaluable.

"As a trained and practiced solicitor I am able to offer guidance and produce solutions which may not be immediately obvious to clients and less experienced advisers."

She is also a member and treasurer for the East Midlands branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an international body made up of the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field of trust and estates. Hilary is also a member of the probate section of the Law Society.

Robert Barber has three Nottinghamshire practices in Hucknall, West Bridgford and Eastwood. The practice's four partners specialise in a range of legal services including family law, personal injury claims, civil litigation, probate and wills, employment law, conveyancing, personal administration and leases and business transfers.
