ROBERT BARBER ENHANCES FAMILY AND CONVEYANCING TEAMS July 2006
The team at West Bridgford legal firm Robert Barber have received a major boost with the qualification of Samina Hussain as a Solicitor.
Samina, who has been training with the firm for three years, will now work alongside Family Partner Patrick Mullins on the company;s family law and residential conveyancing clients.
During her qualifying period, Samina gained experience working in the litigation, probate, conveyancing and family departments which gave her a good grounding for her current position. Now qualified, Samina works as part of the family team but also deals with residential conveyancing issues.
She commented: "Many family solicitors do not have experience with conveyancing issues but often matrimonial splits can involve the selling or buying of a house and so it made sense for me to work in both areas. It ensures that clients have the same solicitor dealing with them during what is already quite a traumatic time."
Samina originally joined the company as a secretary at the Hucknall office for Conveyancing Partner Don Howard. She had already completed her Legal Practice Course with Nottingham Law School and was accepted at Robert Barber for her training contract.
Samina added: "I'm really grateful to everyone at Robert Barber, especially Partners Patrick Mullins and Don Howard. I know how difficult it is to secure a training contract and I feel really honoured to have gained the support skills and experience I needed to qualify with such a long and well established Nottingham firm."
Robert Barber has three Nottinghamshire practices in Eastwood, West Bridgford and Hucknall. The practice's four partners specialise in a range of legal services including family law, personal injury claims, civil litigation, probate and wills, employment law, conveyancing, personal administration and leases and business transfers.
