Robert Barber Solicitors, one of Nottinghamshire�s oldest firms of solicitors, has appointed Michelle Lawrence as a legal assistant at its Eastwood office.

Ms Lawrence, 35 from Arnold, will be working with Personal Injury specialist solicitor Philip Fantham on all cases handled by the busy office on Church Street in Eastwood.

She brings 18 years of legal experience to her new position at Robert Barber and is soon to receive Legal Executive status on completion, later this year, of a four-year correspondence course with New College Nottingham.

Commenting on her appointment Ms Lawrence said: �It is a very hands-on and challenging role and I will be working directly with members of the public who are pursuing personal injury claims.

�The Robert Barber name is well respected throughout Nottingham and the experience gained working alongside professionals such as Philip Fantham will contribute greatly to my long-term aim to become a solicitor.

�There is immense scope within Robert Barber Solicitors to develop my career further and I will be doing this initially by working alongside Mr Fantham and taking on my own case load of personal injury claims.�
